Review by hotel critic
Dikker & Thijs Hotel was a charming find in the heart of Amsterdam, a stone's throw away from the bustling Leidse Square and a myriad of cultural hotspots. the room, with its lovely canal view and modern amenities, provided a comfortable retreat after a day of sightseeing. The hotel's proximity to Leidseplein Square and the main museums made it a convenient base for art enthusiasts like us. the cozy lounge, with free-flowing tea and coffee, offered a welcoming space to unwind and plan our next adventures. While we opted out of breakfast to explore local cafes, the aroma of coffee from the in-room machine was a delightful wake-up call each morning. The nearby tram stop to Amsterdam Central made navigating the city a breeze, and the superb coffee and pastry shop across the road became our go-to spot for a quick pick-me-up. the room's spacious layout and comfortable beds ensured a restful night's sleep, setting the stage for another day of artful discoveries. Overall, Dikker & Thijs Hotel's blend of Dutch design aesthetics and modern comfort made our Amsterdam getaway truly memorable.
